hi I’m Charlotte Lawson a registered licensed dietitian here in Tampa Bay Florida now if you’re interested in fasting you may wondering how can I lose weight and fast safely well first keep in mind if you’re trying to lose weight we want to try to wrap up our metabolism and fasting actually does the opposite of that when our body doesn’t receive enough calories or the amount of calories it needs our body turns into starvation mode where it actually shuts down our metabolism and really tries to save any sort of calories we ingest now if you’re still stuck on fasting maybe you have to because of a certain dietary excuse me dietary restriction or maybe a recommended by your physician for the procedure try to limit your fasting to no more than one or two days because ultimately again your metabolism will be really slowed and again not really well for not really a good thing for an overall weight loss diet now more so you want to actually probably incorporate small meals throughout the day every couple hours of a smaller portion is really proven to help stimulate that metabolism and once we have that higher more efficient metabolism we’re more likely to lose weight at a more regular pace so try to avoid fasting for more than one or two days and if you are trying to choose maybe some liquids to incorporate with some sort of nutrient value so you’re not totally depriving your body again not very long is really key here try to incorporate smaller meals throughout the day once you pass that fasting stage and ultimately at the end of any weight loss program we want to have left calories in more calories out so it’s always recommended to incorporate an exercise program as well those are just a couple tips and hopefully you do well with the weight loss overall I’m Charlotte and eat happy..

  1. Small meals through-out the day has been proven not to work. The 6 small meals a day was a scam invented and promoted by the body building industry so you would use their products twice as much.

  2. you have no clue. I lost 44 lbs in 44 days intermittent fasting on low glycemic index foods with diabetic remission. That “pyramid” picture tells me all i need to know how misinformed you are
